Aussie Roots Fusion band Kurilpa Reach are finally taking their first tour across the ditch to the beautiful North Island of Aotearoa! Catch them as they take a quick pitstop from shows with the likes of Strangely Arousing and Skram to do their own show at the Beautiful Paisely Stage.
Blending elements of reggae, dub, rock, soul funk and roots music, Kurilpa Reach is a party waiting to happen. A 7 piece band that has a sound that's hard to define, they have brought energy to stages all across the East Coast of Australia, and have become known as one of the best live bands around that can and will entertain any crowd they get to play in front of.
The boys have been looking forward to getting to NZ for a long time, and have played shows with awesome Kiwi acts like Muroki and Strangely Arousing, as well as playing 3 Fat Freddy's Drop tribute shows in Aus, so its high time to spread the good love and rhythm to the shores of Aotearoa. Finally Wellington favourites Crash Bandihoot make their way up to beautiful Hawkes Bay for the very first time!
Bringing a high energy set of raucous New Orleans street-style brass band music, expect soaring horns and driving rhythms for this colourful and sometimes interactive performance that paraded through Newtown Festival, sold out back to back years at The Wellington Jazz Festival and recently back from their Australia 2022 Tour.
Come and check out an unforgettable night of brass frivolity described by Under The Radar as "terrifying".
And with support from the fantastic Magical Mystery Monkeys - Original big voiced neo soul from Wellington City, sousaphone bass lines with vocal harmonies.
